Programming Learning ”System Walking MechatroWego”

Education is very important for our future, and in 2020, programming education has become compulsory in elementary schools. The field of education is expected to continue to change and to trial and error every moment to keep up with the times and society. By developing and providing the programming learning system “Walking MechatroWego”, Living Robot, Inc. contributes to the achievement of Goal 4 “Quality Education for All” by (1) providing high quality materials for school education and (2) promoting lifelong education for the general public.
The educational materials include contents that can be used in classes such as math and science, and also in extracurricular activities. The robot operation is easy, and even beginners can work intuitively by combining blocks on the programming software “Scratch”. Children can make repeated adjustments while making full use of the sensor for distance and illuminance installed in the system and learn to think logically spontaneously while having fun.
In addition, we can expect to reduce the workload of teachers by providing educational materials that students can work on by themselves and a system that allows teachers to view the learning status of their students at a glance. By providing such a learning system, we contribute to creating an environment in which workers can work more efficiently and easily. We contribute to the realization of Goal 8, “Decent work and economic growth,” by providing economic benefits from the introduction of the system and improving the working environment for workers.
