Hiroki holds a Ph.D. in health science and three master's degrees(engineering, management informatics, and health science) from Himeji Insitute of Technology, Tama University Graduate School, and the International University of Health and Welfare. He is currently pursuing his fourth master’s degree in the Interdisciplinary Design Studies Feild at Kyoto University of Arts and Design Graduate School.
Following employment at Otto Bock Japan, Kawamura Gishi Co., Ltd, AUTECH JAPAN, INC., Teikyo University, and Santa Fe Research Institute, he is currently engaged in several professions within the field, including a part-time lecturer at Tokyo Future University College of Welfare and Childcare, an instructor for welfare equipment planning leader development at The Association for Technical Aids, a sponsor of Association for Research in ICT-based caregiving and education technology, director of the General Incorporated Association WISE Housing Environment Research Institute, a fellow of Active Learning Lab, and an advisor of Seed Planning Inc.
